DESAPARECIDOS # 43

[…] The bilingual writing – Italian and Spanish – returns with strength the voices of the Mexican students and of the families of the desaparecidos, and reveals the deep tie with the land that has generated it. […] The continuous twist of private and public celebrations tells a drama that blends the tragedy of a nation with the pain of whom does’t know the truth regarding the disappearance of friends and relatives. […] The touching final message that every spectator receives together with a red paper flower. Maybe the meaning of the entire performance is inside this act: when the ceremony is over and the lights turn on, what we’re celebrating with the applause isn’t only the research and the dedication of the artists, but the consciousness of being part of a moment of community development.
