DESAPARECIDOS #43… Or #44?

It isn’t a commemoration.“Vivos los llevaron y vivos los queremos” (“They picked up them alive and we want them alive”) is the slogan that leads the demonstrations and that the artists repeat on the stage. It is the construction of the memory: memory for these disappeared bodies whose lacks is scarring deeply. […] The space is well maganed and every aspect is well-finished: vocal experiments, dances, lights and images. Music is well arranged and harmonizes with the scenic action. The public isn’t left in a passive condition, but directly called to action. […] These little totems [the paper flowers] are reminders and witnesses to pass down. […] Desaparecidos#43 is a precious jewel of civil commitment theatre and has the merit to give some informations rare to find in the public debate through the mean of the emotions. An honorable reconstruction of a fundamental and terrible chapter of the contemporary history. And an occasion to activate himself! After the performance takes place a meeting with the artists, the moderator Simona Maria Frigerio, journalist for «Perinsala», and Ruby Villarreal, promoter of the petition #MexicoNosUrge.
