After the presentation during the previous edition of PerformAZIONI International Workshop Festival, “The Ritual” comes back in his site-specific version, specifically conceived for the spaces of LABORATORIO San Filippo Neri. The show summarises and is therefore highly representative of the whole Rags of Memory International Performing Arts Project by Instabili Vaganti Compagnia Teatrale.
The scene is structured in a space that assumes the symbolic value of a sacred garden, a timeless place in which a man and a woman, on stage and/or virtually displayed, travel through the whole cycle of life, fixing it in the eternity of the ritual, in which the audience takes part as a spectator. An original composition of live music, actions, songs and video-projections, results of the continuous process of research and elaboration of performative materials coming from different cultural traditions from all around the world and, in particular, the ones of the countries in which the project has been hosted.
