Mass workshop for the creation of the performance Megalopolis#Bologna

Directed by: Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola Open to 50 participants and aimed at actors, dancers, students From 17th to 19th and from 28th to 30th May 2019
The workshop aims to investigate the themes of the International Research Project MEGALOPOLIS, directed by Instabili Vaganti in the biggest cities of the planet. In particular, the participants will explore the relationship between contemporaneity and tradition, reality and virtuality, globalization and cultural identity of a city and its inhabitants. The training will focus on a physical work of composition and decomposition of choral mass actions, generating flows of movement able to form human groups defined by a specific scenic quality. The participants will become part of an artistic project that will culminate with the performance Megalopolis#Bologna, in which they will take part as scenic chorus. The performance will be staged in the suggestive spaces of Laboratorio San Filippo Neri in Bologna on 30th May 2019, within the VIII edition of the International Workshop Festival PerformAzioni. During the workshop different working spaces will be explored including some urban locations in the outskirts of the city, where site-specific incursions and interventions are planned.
The company reserves the right to select some participants who will join the international team of the residency program resulting in the performance The Global City , a co-production between the National Theater of Genoa and the FIDAE Festival in Uruguay that will debut from 14th to 24th August 2019 in Uruguay and October 9th, 2019 in Genoa.
