Founded in 2004 by Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola

The theatre company Instabili Vaganti founds its research on the will to investigate theatre as a form of total art and the actor on its entirety.
Following this intention the company has developed a way in which the performer embodies the evoking ability of the poetic act, affirming its physical and emotional presence and generating a dramaturgy of the actions side by side the one made by words and that dialogues with different artistic forms. The result is an organic unity of physical actions, songs, live music, poetry, visual art and new media.
The company is also engaged in a work of research and actualization of performance techniques and cultural traditions through its own personal experimentation and artistic contamination.
During these years the company has carried on a daily work of research on the actor craft, of experimentation and education in the performing arts, developing its own method of work appreciated all over the world.
Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola had led work sessions on the actor training during the Atelier of the Grotowski Institute of Wroclaw, in Poland, in the International Workshop Festival in South Korea, and in numerous International Universities.
In 2005 the company won the special prize of the Jury at the International Theatre and Visual Arts Festival Zdarzenia in Poland for their first performance Avan- Lulu.
Starting from 2006 the company is developing the international project Rags of memory which involves performers coming from different countries through the international work sessions which has took place in Germany, Poland, Armenia, Romania, South Korea. The project has produced the performance Rags of memory, which has opened at the first International theatre festival of Kosovo.
From 2007 the group has been directing the International project of theatre research LENZ which has created the prformances: Lenz – the Goethe’s monkey, appreciated at the International Shakespeare Festival of Yerevan, Running in the Fabrik, Running in the Tunnels, produced in collaboration with the Old Vic theatre in London, and the newest production The Contemporary Hermit.
Since 2009 the company is directing the LIV Performing Arts Centre in Bologna, organizing International workshop festivals, work sessions, residencies for artists.
